Are you listening America?

Don't let Jason Castro stay on American Idol another week. Please. I don't think I can handle it.

Thank you. I knew America would listen to me.(updated 5.7.08- 9pm)

Okay, you care this much about American Idol?

How did you and I grow up in the same house?

Or, rather...

How can someone with such a deep appreciation for good television (Arrested Development, Scrubs and, um...Arrested Development?) care enough to blog about such blatantly bad television?

Alright, there's my two cents.

No, see Mom, Dad would never watch American Idol...right? Because where I am being a television snob, Dad's kind of a music snob. So he knows good music when he hears it. It happens, so do I. Basically, what I'm saying is...American Idol is neither good television nor is it good music. And my question is, again, how did Mo and I grow up in the same house?

tsthysn!

No, you're wrong Elliot, your Dad WOULD watch American Idol... Because even though he's kind of a music snob, and he knows good music when he hears it, his indiscriminate television watching trumps his musical snobbery. So even though American Idol is neither good television nor good music, he would watch it, if for no other reason than to make fun of them. I mean, think about it, El. He watched that stupid show with the Olsen twins (and I'm sure that at least on one occasion they got themselves locked in a bathroom). And there were others... I'm sure of it, but I've repressed them.

And to your question about how you grew up in the same house... remember, nature AND nurture have an impact.
