The Nativity

This is one of my favorite Christmas decorations. I got it on clearance at a boutique in Clayton (Missouri) five or six years ago. It was hand cut, hammered, and painted in Mexico, and it is wicked cool. Aside from Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the angel, there are three wise men, a donkey, an ox and a sheep. To add to the festivities, our Lego cake topper bride and groom look on with painted smiles!

Merry Christmas!

You had a lego cake topper?? That is so cool! Post more pictures of it!

I love your nativity set. I have started collecting them, I guess. Is it something Maddie can play with (supervised) or is it fragile at all?

We did have a lego cake topper! And it was awesome... I will have to post the reason some day soon.

As for the nativity, it does have some sharp edges, so she can't play with it yet, but in a few years, once she knows that it can be an issue, she can play with it.

Last year my grandmother got her a plush nativity and she loves it. She plays with it every day and we talk about who each of the "guys" are, as she puts it.

Maybe that is the start of my very own collection!

You people are sacreligious. Sacriligious. Sacraligious. How do you spell that anyway?

Your nativity is WAY cuter than mine, but not nearly as ironic as the one outside the funeral home I saw in Seattle. I think graduation barbie needs to make a nativity appearance some time soon...
