Ok, not really. But this is the closest she is going to get for awhile at least! Maddy loves her Circus exersaucer! She spins from toy to toy playing with each one and learning what noises each one of them makes. Fortunately for mommy and daddy, there is only one that plays music and it isn't that loud. I could be so much worse. Maddy is just so much fun, look at these smiles!
Occasionally she gets a hold on the seal and sticks its whole head in her mouth. She only got about half of it this time. Poor seal!

Our Mornings
On those days that I get a shower... and they are few... Maddy sits in her bouncy chair and plays with her toys. When I am done and she is fed up with the chair she moves onto the floor in the hall. She watches me get ready, and Olive watches Maddy to make sure she doesn't get up and eat her food.
Our girls sure are cute aren't they?

My First...
...taste of solid food!
So we took a stab at solid foods this week. As you can see from the photo below it wasn't a terribly messy event. We were expecting much worse. Maddy likes Rice Cereal so we will stick with that for the time being. We are not feeling up to changing her diet much more than we already have. Daddy got the honor of changing the first diaper after solids...it was a shocker that's for sure!

My First...
FAMILY CAMP!!!
Leo and I played with toys on the floor.
I even got to hold his hand. As you I can see I was happier about this than Leo!
John joined in on family Olympics with a mad game of Crochet.
Cheryl and Rachel decorated their family camp reunion patches!
Uncle Elliot even had a pie eating contest, with himself. I think he lost.
Greg's patch summed the event up very nicely.
After dinner we relaxed on the deck. Carolyn and Leo played a flying game. I just lounged with Grandpa!

Our 4 month old
Madeline turned 4 months on Tuesday! This summer has flown by. She is so much fun to play with these days and she has begun to anticipate activities and games. She rolls over from her back to her tummy every time we lay her down. (Then she gets frustrated that she is on her tummy and cries... she has yet to master the tummy to back flip.)
All in all things are well. I began teaching as an Adjunct at Fontbonne this semester. It is going well and I am only teaching one class so the load isn't heavy at all. I did manage to throw my back out on Monday of this week however. I have to thank my amazing husband, wonderful mother, fantastic in laws and groovy father for taking care of me and Maddy this week. I am feeling much better (anything is better than laying on the floor in tears...) and I couldn't have done it without them. The cake and ice cream Scott and Becky brought over on Tuesday was a huge help too, I might add.
That being said here are some of the most recent photos of Ms. Madeline. Enjoy!

Daddy and I watched the Cardinals slaughter the Pirates today 16 to 4. Go Cards!
Get that camera out of here. Can't you see I'm busy at work?
Nap time!
